Quebec- rental car parking

We are planning on renting a car for 24 hrs on our cruise in Oct. We won't be returning our car until the afternoon of our second day there. Is there a place to park by the port?

Which ship will you be on, and on what day? There are 2 parking lots alongside the main dock area, but ships will occasionally use alternate docks if there are several ships in port.

We are sailing on the NCL Gem. We will be docked Sunday Oct. 14 and Mon. Oct 15.

This is where the dates are key, because you happen to be in QC on one of those rare multiple-ship days - there are 4 in port on the 14 - so your ship will be at dock 30. Now, while this is not at the nice terminal with the secured lot, it isn't that far (maybe a 10 minute walk), and there is a vast parking/dockside area at 30 where you can definitely park your car short-term. For overnight parking, I would ask one of the port officials that will be on hand - it might be fine, or they may say your better parking in a nearby secured lot, of which there are a few.

 

BTW, was on the Gem last year. Beautiful ship.
