Fort Laudadale post cruise excursion

What I want to know is post cruise excursions. Sorry if this has already been covered.

We are picking up a rental car from Fort Laud airport at 1 pm and thought we'd take the Everglades excursion prior.

What time does the excursion leave the ship, get to the airport etc? Has anyone done this before?

We are driving down to the Keys for a couple of days before the agonizing long flight home!!! :(

Is the power hour and Platinum / Elite pre dinner drinks still at Skywalkers?

The big question here.....why are you doing the ship excursion? If you have a car, you can do one of the Everglades Parks on your own for just the cost of admission. And you won't have to hurry off the ship to wait in the coach bus as everyone loads. Wait as everyone finished their boat tour. Just have a leisurely breakfast onboard, cab it to your rental which you should pick up earlier and be on your way to do what YOU want. SOOOO easy.

 

Other than the ride to and from, the tour itself is done by the Park for the public customers, not the cruise line folks.

 

These ship excursions are nice for those leaving town around 3 that want something to do without renting a car. You are already getting the car.
