suebee53 Posted August 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2012 I have a travel scooter that can fold up and be lifted into a car trunk or large-enough space on a bus (such as airport parking or rental car shuttles). Will the pier shuttles be able to accommodate me?
WilliamLawson Posted August 25, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 25, 2012 The pier shuttle is a bus, so you shouldn't have any difficulties.
suebee53 Posted September 2, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted September 2, 2012 Now that I'm back, I do want to report that I don't think the bus drivers would have loaded my scooter on the buses. The aisles are rather narrow, and there's a good chance even the small Pride Go-Go would have been too wide. My traveling companion was willing to push me in my collapsible wheelchair, which stowed OK on the bus. So I have come to the conclusion that no wheelchair = no point in getting off the ship in Progreso.
AWCHIEF Posted September 6, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 6, 2012 They do have some vans that are set up for electric chairs, did you ask about them? I have seen them used several times by people that had electric chairs.
