Junebug1 Posted August 19, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2012 Hello, I just read a review on Tripadvisor that mentioned a harbor front walking trail that is less than a 2 mile walk to Reversing Falls from the cruise port in Saint John, NB. Has anyone ever done this? The review was from 2011 and said that the trail was closed that summer & fall due to waterfront constuction. We would be interested in walking the trail if it is open this year. Any info would be helpful. Thanks, June

Walk to very end of trail - and then continue up Chesley Drive and cross Reversing Falls bridge. There is not much to see there - it is basically rapids. To fully appreciate the phenomenon you should visit twice, once when falling down to Harbour area and again when falling in reverse direction into river. Otherwise it is not worth the 15 to 20 minute walk from the end of harbour passage. Harbour passage is however a nice stroll that offers nice photo opportunities of the ship and maybe spot a harbour seal.
nybumpkin Posted August 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2012 We walked it in 2008. Harbour Passage was an easy walk, but up the hill to Reversing Rapids was one of the more challenging walks I've done. However, I'm glad we did it. The park at Reversing Rapids was really pretty.
