Snorkeling help

I know that there are beaches where I can snorkel on my own. I have my own snorkel gear. But is it worth it to book an excursion to get to some farther out reefs or shipwrecks? I'm seeing the options as Jessie James ($65, 16 pax glass bottom boat, three stops, afternoon only in Oct), Fantasea ($65, Thurs only, sounds like 1 or 2 snorkel spots, rum swizzle included), or Snorkel Bermuda (no price listed, speed boat, 1 stop).

Sounds like Jesse James is more my style. Does anyone prefer the others?
