Fun Pass - Help Please!! Small problem

Recommended Posts

I have a friend and her family traveling with my husband and me on the Carnival Liberty on 7/20. We filled out our Fun Pass and, I told my friend to fill out her fun pass for their reservation too (this is their first cruise ever). Well my friend is from India and, while their names are common in India, they are unusual by American standards. Unfortunately, the TA booked one of my friend's children as "Miss" when in fact he is a "Mr" (13 year old boy). When my friend pulled up her reservation, the Fun Pass showed the mistake (this is the only way we would have found out). She called the TA immediately, who immediately called Carnival, who immediately made the change.

The problem is that the Fun Pass is still showing her son as "Miss" and not "Mr". Should we give it another day or call Carnival to alert them?

Anyone ever run across this problem?

Any help or suggestions are welcome! Thanks!

I'm listed on Funpass as "Mrs" but am a Miss/Ms. I also called and spoke with my Carnival planner and she said no big deal. It happened last year also. I know the Mr versus Miss is a lot different however, I don't think it will be a big deal. To be safe I would call Carnival and ask to speak with a supervisor to verify this, or to find out how to officially change the info so it corresponds to fact. Hope it helps:o

SFB, call again and verify the change. When I booked my F&F cruise on the Destiny, there were two names that were misspelled, which like you we didn't find out til we started filling out our FP info. I called and had them correct it. It did show that afternoon.

Don't panic yet however, you've got plenty of time to get it corrected.

We had the same problem with a friend of our sons traveling with us. Carnival said that as long as it was in their system correctly it is not a problem. She made the corrections, it was in the system immediately, and I was able to print a new fun pass the same day (We had about three weeks before we left and the actual ticket with corrections arrived before we departed.)

Although I am guessing that there are probably more than one "Cruise Vacation Specialists" at CCL's phone center with the same name, I spoke with a "Jan" pretty early this morning (about 7:30ish CDT) to clear up an address and telphone number issue on some correspondence they faxed me, and she seemed very, very good at a) clearing up the address issue immediately, and b) cheerfully answering some pretty inane questions I had about our cruise.

Let's just say, I've had worse CVS's when I had to call CCL (not terrible, but not this good). I might suggest you ask for her?

SF, I would just call a couple times prior just to make sure its in the system correctly... Also i would have a Carnival rep email you something to the effect its corrected... They go by the passport anyway, so i wouldn't worry too much. Also, as for the "printed" out fun pass, they don't even ask for it there, cause its already in the system..
