judy&steve Posted May 26, 2005 #51 Share Posted May 26, 2005 Now we are totally off-topic, but I did say it was a tight community. We were invited to brunch Sunday at Peerece's Plantation. My son, his girlfriend, and one of the hosts' twin girls, all graduated from Sarah Lawrence College last week. I hadn't been to Peerce's in years and years. It was beautiful. Samet822 Posted May 26, 2005 #52 Share Posted May 26, 2005 We usually attend services on the ships and have met some nice people and often the ships put out a nice spread. A couple of times there were no crew members to lead services, and I volunteered. Once on the Baltic Cruise, there were over 300 people at the service. We have been to Curacao twice and were fortunate on one occasion to be there on Saturday. It was delightful -- and the people were so gracious at the Oneg Shabbat. Several of us from the ship went (we actually met them the night before at the service) and it was a memorable experience. If you are there on a Saturday, give it a try. We still had plenty of time after services to shop, visit the casino and see the charming town. Diane
