Best beach for a baby?

Will be traveling with a one year old - would like to know which beach and/or hotel area would be best for a baby. Perhaps one that has either more shade, or where we can rent a large cabana to keep him well shaded.

 

A pool nearby wouldn't be bad either, but that is not of primary importance. I have also thought about renting a hotel room for the day, so that we could use the beach/pool and have a room to get the baby out of the sun/heat for a few hours.

 

Any ideas?

There will be umbrella rentals all along the beach....so getting the shade won't be a problem. There's really no reason to pay for a hotel to go to the beach in GC!
