Verandas on Diamond - adjoining connecting doors

We saw the Diamond Princess docked in San Pedro this weekend, and noticed (from a distance) that there appears that there are connecting doors between the verandas. Can anyone verify?

I don't know about Princess but the Carnival spirit class ships have balconies that the paritions can be unlocked between them if you have two rooms together. You just have to ask your steward to unlock it for you.
