What happened to the RC out of Port Canaveral yesterday?

Recommended Posts

We have a beach house in Cocoa and are there most weekends. We love to watch the ships as they leave port (beautiful end to our wonderful beach days).

Yesterday, the RCL ship (not sure which one) was out a few miles and stopped and turned around....Disney coming out at the same time also stopped. We think we saw them launch one of the life boats. ABout an hour later they slowly made their way back in to shore.

We were out there for a while longer and never saw it go back out.

Can't find anything on the news about it and hope I could get some iinfo here to satify our curiosity.

looks like it was a medical emergency..they returned, someone was taken off ths ship and presumably left the pier in the waiting ambulance

if you scroll around the news page..or even this board..there is/may be video from the webcam....

or try portcanaveralwebcam.com and perhaps there is an archives..

it was Freedom, and was back at the pier for maybe 30 minutes or less...

On the thread about this yesterday, someone posted that a person onboard reported that the person taken off had a panic attack. They didn't seem to be rushing him/her into an ambulance when disembarked, so I'm hopeful that he/she has recovered. :)
