Explorer of the Seas cabin 8618

Has anyone been in this cabin or have any imput. Good choice? Thanks!

I had 6618 but changed when I heard about the metal balconies(thanks to you all :) ) I like to look out and see ocean even when sitting or in bed. This is my 3rd cruise but I have never been on the hump before.

what do you mean my metal balconies, this is my 4th cruise and I have always had balcony cabins on the 6th floor on the VShips on RCC. This time around I also have another Balcony on the 6th floor 6260 I hope thats ok..ay suggestions.

On deck 6 the lower part of the balcony is metal not plexi glass like the other decks--you can't see through them. I just like to be able to see out even if I am sitting. But, some people don't find it to be a big deal.

We have 6618 and are concerned with not being able to see out when sitting down! We were excited about the hump balconies, but now we are worried...

Don't be worried...the plexiglass walls are usually so salt and spray covered, that you can't see through them, either! If you want to ocean gaze, you'll stand at the railing! It's truly not a big deal!
