sdupdike Posted April 8, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Where is best to watch for drops in price? Carnival's web site? And if we booked through a travel agent, and the price drops, can we ask for a credit? We already have guaranteed balcony rooms, so don't think an upgrade would do much good. But a credit sure would be nice. Cruise is Conquest, May 9 2004.
volleyballmom83 Posted April 8, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2004 Keep in touch with your travel agent and keep checking the Carnival website. We are sailing on the Mariner with RCCL in June and my travel agent said she continues to check prices a couple times a week and if I see a price decrease on the website to call her and she'll call the cruiselines Good Luck. we're all hoping to save some last minute bucks!! fendbass Posted April 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 9, 2004 I got a subscription to http://www.travelzoo.com They gather pricing information from many different sources, and send out a news letter every 2 weeks or so. You can also periodically check their web site. On our last cruise, we had booked an outside cabin. Travelzoo newsletter alerted us to the fact that RCCI was advertising balconies for a lower price than our outside cabin. A quick e-mail to our Travel Agent got us upgraded, and a $200 savings.
