kimgoose Posted September 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Hi! We'll be visiting these ports on our RCC trip the week of 10-6. We were thinking of renting a car for 1 of these days and do our own siteseeing. Hertz was the name given by a friend. Any advice about renting a car or what do see on our own? Rare Hlitner Posted September 10, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 10, 2012 We ourselves have used Hertz in Cannes on several ocassions. However, keep in mind that its approximately a 1 mile walk from the tender pier to the Hertz Location. There is a local rental car dealer called Mistral that has a much closer location. As to what to see, if you do some searches of this forum you will find lots of advice. One of our personal favorites is St Paul de Vence which is reachable from Cannes in about 45 min. It is possible to drive to St Paul and then later head to the coast and visit Antibes and finally drive along the slow coastal road back towards Cannes. There are many other options so you need to do homework. As to Toulan, we cannot speak to the various rental car locations but you might want to think of this port as the gateway into Provence. We could fill a book on Provence (there actually are quite a few out there) and this again requires some homework as you have to make a few choices from an amazing number of options.
