Teen Clubs and NCL- All the Same?

So, 13 yr old nephew had literally the time of his life on Epic a few weeks ago. Med. itinerary. It wasn't so much the teen "space" itself that was appealing but the activities they had planned, the counselors and the group of teens from all over the world. Now, i know we probably can never replciate the group of teens and that part is probably the #1 factor in making the cruise and teen club "cool". But, we are considering a cruise for next year and Europe probably isn't in the cards again. So, we are considering the Epic again (caribbean) or Gem (Carb/Bahamas out of NY).

Will he find the acitivities similar on Gem? Anyone with an early teen care to share experiences of their teen on Gem (or other jewel class) NCL ships?

TIA
