Disembarkation Question

Recommended Posts

We are sailing on the Dawn in December and are trying to make plans for the day we return to Tampa. As I recall from our last NCL cruise, we were given a choice of times for disembarkation. We chose 9:30. We had to be out of our stateroom at a certain time so we went to the MDR for breakfast and then waited in one of the lounges until our time (color) was called.

We have the following questions:

1. Does NCL still allow you to choose the time you disembark?

2. What time do you have to vacate your stateroom?

3. What time does the MDR close (stop serving) on disembarkation day?

4. Are there other restaurants open on that day?

Any insights will be appreciated! We can't wait for our cruise to begin!!!

1. Yes...those colored tags for different times.

2. 9 am. However, you are encouraged to leave earlier if possible so your room attendent can get busy with cleaning and preparing for the next guests.

3. I believe I remember 9am. Shorter hours than the other days.

4. Buffet. The Dawn doesn't have one, but the Great Outdoors on the ships with one.

Not sure how different the Tampa sailing will be from our Boston-Bermuda sailing but in looking at the final Freestyle Daily we received, it says orange tags were the last to be called at 10:10 a.m.

Yes, you can still choose when you want to leave.

The Venetian Restaurant, Decl 6, Aft, was open from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Other choices are the breakfast buffet at the Garden Cafe from 6 to 9 a.m., and the Blue Lagoon and room service available from 6:30 a.m. to close

How and when do you get to choose what time you want to leave?

A couple of days before disembarkation, there will be luggage tags near Guest Services. You just pick what time/color you want. Also, you can do self disembarkation so no colored tags for those doing so. You just keep your luggage and leave when you want after the ship has been cleared by local authorities.

Sounds easy enough - thanks!
