but what that does not tell you is that the remote can not change the source to the DVD

No. We had an OS in August there was no DVD player. There are also no outlets in the main room. We did find one on the plug of Tv toward the end of the week. We found it by mistake when we were unplugging the TV to plug in an alarm clock. My son used the dressing room as his own private "screening room" so he could watch his portable DVD player. Bring a power strip There is only one outlet in the whole cabin ( I found that so strange in a suite) and we kept having to switch the plugs around to keep everything charged (he has autism and uses an Ipod (for music) IPad (for communication) and his DVD player.
