Texas Posted September 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2012 We want to cruise the eastern/southern Caribbean in 2013. Now we want to know which is the best month to go? Is the weather better in April than Feb? We like to snorkel and will be in the water a lot. We want to do a 10 day cruise. If we go in March, will we be in the midst of spring break/kids traveling. Appreciate any feedback

NemoCrownie Posted December 1, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 1, 2012 We have sailed the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan the last three years. All in February. We are doing a B2B this February. We love February because it is so cold in the midwest then and by March winter is all but over. We sail for the weather. With that said, the first year, 2010, never a cloud in the sky....absolutely perfect weather and water temps every day. The next year, 2011, St Thomas was overcast, St Croix perfect weather, Antigua perfect weather day, St Lucia drizzle and overcast most of the day, Grenada was sunny but very windy in the afternoon. This year, 2012, St Thomas, on and off either rain or sun, St Kitts was overcast and windy most of the day, Aruba was perfect, and Curacao was gorgeous in the morning and afternoon but about 2 hours of overcast, wind and then a hard rain late morning. So not always perfect weather, I would prefer sun and no wind everyday. But...for us it is still better than the Midwest and, in three years we have only had 2 days that we didn't have great weather for most of the day. These are the only cruises we have been on so I can't address March or April.
