Port Canaveral Departure Question

If we choose to use Royal Caribbean's transportation back to Orlando International Airport after our cruise, how early can we make our flight time? I was thinking anytime after noon time. It's been a while since I used Royal's transfers.

 

There will be four of us. We are flying into Orlando the day before our cruise and staying in Cocoa Beach area, about 10 minutes from the pier. I've read it may be more economical for us to rent a car from the airport to get to Cocoa Beach and turn in the car before we board the ship. I am pretty sure we are going to do that. I just though it would be easier to use Royal's transfer program for our way to the airport. Thanks for any information you can offer. Our cruise isn't until May 2013.

It might easier and cheaper to rent a car to go back to the airport at Orlando.
