How's CB lately?

Hi everybody.

 

It's been a while since I've been on the Princess boards.

 

Last year, perhaps around this time, I cancelled a cruise I'd booked on RCCL's Adventure of the Seas because of a great sale Princess had. I booked a cruise for the very same date on Caribbean Princess. I was very pleased with my choice for a myriad of reasons, right up until the point that Princess cancelled the sailing due to engine problems. We ended up booking a last minute cruise on RCCL's Allure of the Seas and it was pretty cool, but it cost a great deal more and though we enjoyed it, I feel I missed out on some things due to our CB cruise being cancelled.

 

So, same story now. I have a cruise booked once again on Adventure of the Seas for next March, and lo and behold Princess has a sale. Now, the fares are good, plus we get a $200 pp credit as a consolation from Princess for our disappointment last March. And although the sailing only stops at three places (a huge peave of mine) the cost savings for the cruise plus cheaper airfare to FLL as opposed to San Juan may be too much for me to pass up.

 

So, is there any buzz about further maintenance issues with CB? I'd seriously hate for the same thing to happen to us again. Is there anything new? New menus, or the like?
