Are you thinking of the old Hawaiian Regent Hotel, now the Marriott Waikiki Beach Resort?? The Hawaiian Regent used to house the Third Floor Restaurant.

The Third Floor has been gone for a while. It used to be a great restaurant. Spleen

yes it was impressive--- after the meal they would bring our a tray of ice cream bon bons sitting on a bowl of water with dry ice in the water and the smoke from the dry ice would slowly spread over the table ---romantic and it would make a great impression on the person you were with

If you're looking for a place in Hawaii that still does that, Bali by the Sea in the Hilton Hawaiian Village does that still (the dry ice and the smoke) at the end of the meal (with a chocolate Diamond Head as the centerpiece) :)
