Luv2Cruise32 Posted September 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 23, 2012 Has anyone stayed the night before a cruise in or around Port of Jacksonville and left your car there for the 5 day cruise duration? If so which hotel and did they have a shuttle that dropped off and picked you up?(with a fee or without) Thank you.
sparkysj Posted September 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 23, 2012 We have cruised out of there a few times (including next month:) & stay the night before but we will be using a lot close to the terminal rather than a hotel. We just feel better leaving our car at a place w/24 hour security etc instead of a hotel lot anyone could come on to.
steiny47 Posted September 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2012 Jacksonville Suites has a cruise package where they will shuttle you to the port (and back) and you can leave your car...we've stayed there a couple of times. Nothing fancy but it worked for us.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2012 I totally agree with sparkyj! Better to pay and have security and no problems when u get back not to mention you get right in your car on the way home immediately.
deborah grimes Posted September 24, 2012 #5 Share Posted September 24, 2012 We always stayed at the Travelodge. Free breakfast, park free and take you and pick you up free! We have stayed here 2 times. Would stay again in a heart beat!
Elsisi Posted September 24, 2012 #6 Share Posted September 24, 2012 I've cruised out of Jacksonville twice and used the Park and Cruise package at Holiday Inn - Blount Island. Closest hotel to the port. Takes about two minutes to get to the port. As for the security of a on-site lot, the last time I cruised out of NOLA, my car was keyed in the port parking garage. 24-hour security didn't prevent that. 2snorkel/cruisers Posted September 24, 2012 #7 Share Posted September 24, 2012 The Best Western on Airport Blvd offers a stay and park thing. They shuttle you to and from the hotel. A friend of ours stays there every time they cruise from Jax. There is also a park and cruise place right on the corner from the cruise terminal. You park your car there and they take you right around the corner to the terminal. www.cruiseparkingjacksonville.com, $8.00 a day.
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted September 24, 2012 #8 Share Posted September 24, 2012 Elisi maybe you beat somebody in the spot or took a spot somebody was waiting for. Sounds like its a revenge to me. No reason why people would key a car unless they angry at you.

KroozFoolz Posted September 26, 2012 #14 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Lots of choices for park and cruise packages when sailing from Jacksonville. In addition to those already mentioned, there are Hilton, Marriott, and Choice Hotels that offer this. If you have a favorite chain, check to see if they have a property near the Jacksonville airport that offers a park and cruise package. As always, it might be good to check Tripadvisor for reviews of that particular property before booking.
