Departure time - Shuttle to Budget after cruise

We will be renting a car from Budget Rental Car after our cruise on Freedom in Fort Lauderdale. They have a shuttle that will come pick us up once we get into port.

 

We have to give them a time. What time would you suggest that we tell them to meet us at the port?

I'd call them the minute your number is called to embark. This would give them 15-30 minutes to get there. With all the "eventualities" that could creep into any other timeline, I'd hesitate to predict in advance when you will be off the ship and through customs. Ship may arrive late. There may be problems with clearing the ship with customs. It may be a day that the crew has to go through customs also, etc.
