Another Bodden tour question - photo Ops/sightseeing?

Are the "scenic overlook" areas actual parking areas for the tour buses with or without vendors or just random park on the side of the road and hope to not get hit getting in and out of the van by other passing cars.

how far are the shipwrecks from shore? zoom lenses needed or no? Basic point an shoot camera user here lol:p

What is the jungle drive like? see anything interesting or just alot of green. (will be there in early Feb)

What type of vehicle is usually used for 2 people on the private tour - car or van?

On our tour with VB there was one scenic overlook with a view of Coxen Hole, and our boat over at Mahogany Bay in the distance. This stop was an area with several (8ish) vendor stalls on the top of a hill which had no through traffic other than folks stopping there, so plenty of room.

Our driver also stopped anywhere else we expressed an interest in seeing, and sometimes that was on the side of the road, with or without pull-outs/wider shoulders. Some of those spots may have some additional traffic risk, but most of the roads we were on weren't particularly busy.

The most prominent shipwreck is quite close to where you'll be docked if you port in MB. With a point and shoot camera you may or may not be able to fill the frame with a picture taken from the boat (superzooms P&S cameras will), but you'll definitely be able to tell what you're looking at with a good level of detail.

We didn't specifically ask to go on a jungle drive, though we did drive through semi-jungley (nice word) areas. There was plenty of green tropical looking vegitation but it didn't strike me as a particularly lush overgrown style jungle. That said, I don't have a particularly large basis for comparison.

When we went it wasn't originally scheduled as a private tour, but as it turns out it was just me, my 4 year old son, and one other couple so it turned in to a self directed tour. We were in a Nissan Frontier (crew-cab pickup), but it looked like most of the smaller groups 2-3 people were in cars, and larger ones in minivans/vans. There may be a luck of the draw factor based on what's available at the specific time when you're there.

The scenic looks are both. We went to one with a parking area and vendors and several along the side of the road. We never felt in any danger as the roads weren't busy. The shipwrecks are pretty close to shore. Very easy to see and a good picture can be had without a zoom lense but even better with one. Not sure what items of interest you are looking for in the "jungle" We drove through the interior and it was beautiful - alot of green. There was only two of us on our tour and we were in a van.
