jannyb Posted April 26, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 26, 2004 Hi cruisers, We played Bingo on our cruise and there were a few games that we have never heard of. We know the usual, four corners, postage stamp & black out, but now we can't remember the ones that were new to us. We are leaving for a Bus tour to Reno with 34 of our friends and family. We always play Bingo on the trip down and would like to add new Bingo games. Can anyone help me here? Thank you in advance. We leave early Friday morning. jannyb Posted April 26, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 26, 2004 the thing is, we are the ones that set up the games for our guests on the bus trip to Reno. We were hoping to find someone who could give us some new games besides the old ones, like Black out, postage stamp, picture frame, ect. Maybe I am asking for the impossible but it is worth a try. We should have written the ones we played on the cruise so we wouldnt forget, but didn't. waterbound Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 we played the usuals last week... straight line, x's, postage stamp and one that Ive never played before... The stinkiest card game... the way it was played was everyone stood up.. everytime she called a # if you had it you had to sit down.. when she got down to the last person who didnt have any of the #s she called.. they were the winner!! It was kinda fun cause it was a little different.. She probably called out about 25-30 #s before she finally got down to 1 person who still hadnt had any of the #s called.. I was surprised.. but it wasnt me Pride- 07/06/02 Jubilee- 02/22/03 Conquest- 10/19/03 4/15-- Holiday--Surprise cruise for my boyfriend! jannyb Posted April 27, 2004 Author #7 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Waterbound, Thanks for the "stinkiest card game". That could be a lot of fun to play on the bus to Reno, especially since we are having a few drinks on the way!! So, did you surprise your boyfriend with the cruise on 4/15? How was it? What a great gift!! Thanks again, jannyb Keep 'em coming! Voyager 3/21/04 One cruise down, can't wait for the next one!
Belle2002 Posted April 27, 2004 #8 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Another fun game is B O, just using the b's and the o's, then who ever has it will stand up and shout, "I have B O." Have you tried 6 pack, any 6 combination of numbers including the free space, going either horizontially or vertically. Belle
jannyb Posted April 27, 2004 Author #9 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Belle, Two new ones, Yipee!! The BO game will be funny! Keep them coming! Thanks, jannyb Voyager 3/21/04 One cruise down, can't wait for the next one!
mconthehighseas Posted April 27, 2004 #10 Share Posted April 27, 2004 JannyB - I had hoped there would be a website that would have every version under the sun, but I haven't found it yet - lots of sites to lose money on the web PLAYING Bingo though. I did find these versions: The letter T - Fill in the top row and the middle column The letter I - Fill in the top and bottom rows and the middle column. The Letter N - the first and last columns and the diagonal from top left to bottom right. The letter Z - the top and bottom rows and the diagonal from top right to bottom left. If I find the perfect bingo site, I'll let you know. mconthehighseas Posted April 28, 2004 #13 Share Posted April 28, 2004 I FOUND A WEBSITE!!!! It lists 33 patterns, including the traditional ones, and some of the others already discussed on this thread. And it suggests that some games can be played with these configurations rotated http://www.ildado.com/bingo_patterns.html In the upper right-hand portion of this page, there is a list of links; if you click on Glossary, there are some terms that describes even more ways to play using wild cards, such as Texas Blackout. You should be able to find enough games to get you through even the worst traffic jam from the airport. I Love the board too - I know that if I need ANY info, I'll find it here. jannyb Posted April 28, 2004 Author #18 Share Posted April 28, 2004 Dory, Thanks for the 'squished frog' Bingo game. I think I see it, but I am sure it is more visable on a real Bingo card. We have several Bingo games now, thanks to all of you good people out there. If you have booked a cruise- have a wonderful time. If you are like me and just dreaming about the next one, happy dreams until the reality of your next cruise!! jannyb Voyager 3/21/04 One cruise down, can't wait for the next one!
