Marseille pre cruise hotel

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Marseille? We are planning on staying for 2 nights prior to taking RCL. Also, on return we are taking train to

Paris and looking for transporation to train station. I read somewhere on cruise critic that the taxi's in Marseille don't want to take a fare for train station. Has anyone else had that problem?

Refusing a "short fare" is not unusual in Marseille or many other ports but there are usually some taxis that will do those short hauls. As to a hotel in Marseille we have no recommendations but you might want to consider spending your nights in a more interesting city such as Avignon or Aix en Provence. Its not a problem getting from these cities (or many other places in Provence) to Marseille the day of your cruise.
