how long does it take a ship leaving Malaga to reach the tip of Gibraltar?

I don't want to be sitting at dinner when we pass Gibraltar, even if it's at night. Seeing Africa and Europe pass by is something I want to experience and I don't want to miss it by being at dinner or something.

If my ship leaves Malaga at 5:00pm, what time would I pass the narrows of Gibraltar?

Port-to-port is 62 nautical miles.

So the quickest would be 3.5 hours after clearing Malaga port, putting it around 9pm at the earliest.

But if the captain's in no hurry it could be a couple of hours later.

Early dinner, methinks ;)
