I am planning a cruise on carnival conquest with my 4 year old twins. My daughter has an allergy to milk protien and eggs and several other foods. Will they offer anything in the MDR that she can eat. Will they prepare something for her diet? Thank you:confused:

Every year we travel with a group that, combined, has allergies to peanuts, treenuts, egg whites, chocolate, shellfish, dairy and MSG.

At embark go to the MDR, it's usualy open the in the early afternoon around 1p. Speak with the Maitre D or Hostesses.

The first night might be a bit hard but there is always something available. At dinner a hostess will come around and take your order for the next days meals.

The MDR is open on seadays. Port days can be a problem as only the self-serve options are available. Talk with the hostess and you can also talk with the Lido Chef.

The buffet can be a landmine. We have figured out what we can and cannot eat thru trial and error after many cruises. I have the tough job of trying the food DD with the nut allergies.:) Haven't had a problem yet.

For port we bring prepackaged food from home. Fruit leathers, pretzels, hard candy and cereal boxes from the ship. You cannot bring off fruit or other food off of the ship.

The Camp has an allergy form to fill out.

On the internet there are companies that specialize in translated allergy cards. Most have pictures on them.

We did this in Italy and saved our DD more than once.

This company came up first in a Google search 'allergy cards'
