jamona2311 Posted October 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2012 My mom and I are "this close" to booking the Elation out of NOLA for the Feb 18th cruise. NOLA has always been a bucket list place for her to go so well be in town a few days before hand to hang out. Does anyone know what the weather might be like? Is it doable for a couple of girls escaping Wisconsin/ Minnesota winters. Its just gotta be better than that!! LOL;):D Thanks for your help! rvsullivan Posted October 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2012 You can see anything from the 20's to the 60's. Can be wet sometimes. Don't forget Mardi Gras!!!
KirkNC Posted October 20, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2012 About the only guarantee is it should be warmer and have less snow then Minnesota.
ondebyou Posted October 24, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 24, 2012 We are going on our 7th cruise out of NOLA and all but the first has been in January or February. We've been fortunate to have beautiful weather leaving NOLa, but as mentioned previously, you really never know, so it's good to be prepared for 30's or 40's, but hope for 50's or 60's! Usually, after the second day, it gets really nice out, warmer as your traveling deeper into the Gulf and the Caribbean. However, realize that when returning, on the last sea day, it will be "cooling" off again the closer you get back to NOLA. I suggest doing a 10 day forcast search prior. We find that even living here in Louisiana, it's a wondeful, winter get away. So, being from Wisconsin/ Minnesota, i would say your in for a treat! :D
