Chefs Table on the Magic

Could someone let me know where they hold the chef's table dinner on the Magic?

And what night is it typically held on?

Is it worth the $75?

We have never done it, and I would need to convince my DH that it is worth it.

Thanks.

I haven't done it yet on the Magic, but I'm scheduled to in December.

When I did the Chef's Table on the Triumph about a year ago, we met in the atrium. We then toured the galley (kitchen area) and proceeded to what I think was the library.

It was worth every penny! I'm not a "foodie" (or foody or whatever you call someone who is into gourmet type meal preparations, etc.), but I loved that evening! I tried foods I never would have tried, the champaign and wine was flowing freely, and the small group was very interesting.

The chef answered any and all questions, and the service was OUTSTANDING!

I think the $75 includes tip, but we actually tipped over and above that. I like spending my cruise money in the casino, but it was worth turning it over to the Chef's Table staff that night.

On Magic, it's inside the galley. Very stainless steel, noisy, horrible ambience compared to the others. It's so loud the chef was mic'd. Servers are coming through back and forth. I personally thought it was the worst Chet's table experience we've had out of several. Food and drink were great though and worth $75 but it needs a quieter venue.

The chefs table starts in a bar. Dinner is in kitchen in full view of everything. Great host with chef & staff officers. Multi apps & entrees/desserts/wine. $75/person + reasonable tip, cheap at twice the price. Reserve thru MCSteakhouse@carnival.com. If space is available, they will confirm ur res, u will be notified of date after u are onboard. Great evening usually on sea day but not always as demand may require multiple evenings. If we are on the same cruise. 12/9. We will join you.

We did Chefs Table on the Magic...started in piano bar and then to the galley. We enjoyed it and thought it was worth it.....worth it if you enjoy a new and different food experience and the wine flows freely also. If you just want a really good steak dinner...go to the Steakhouse. The Chefs Table is different and you should be fairly adventurous to enjoy it.
