Last-minute NCL cruises?

Anyone know if you can show up at the port in Honolulu on the day of departure for any of the NCL ships and get a cheap, "whatever is available" rate?

I've tried searching on this board and the NCL with no luck.

I think the answer to that is no. Since 9-11, cruise ships going to or from an American port must relay Pax listings 24 hrs in advance to some govt. agency.

I may not have this exactly correct.....but i am close.

We took a tour of the Pride of Aloha last Friday (May 20), and asked

the travel agents about it. Turns out that the cruise ships are

filling up sooner and empty berths are getting rarer. They suggested

that we contact them a week before and see what is available.

That was all they could offer. I remember in 2003, that NCL

was offering amazing prices for the Star just before Christmas.

Apparently those days are gone (for now?)
