ljzelenz Posted October 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 26, 2012 Has anyone done this recently? How far from the Allure ? Thank you Good morning we do offer day pass it’s $60 for adults and $30 for kids. We also offer family pass $120 up to (4) people. The day pass includes kayaks, sunfish sail boat, paddle board, floats, beach chairs etc. The hotel has a pool however it’s not included in the day pass. Look forward to seeing you. * Vernita Joseph Vacation Director Bolongo Bay Beach Resort *
blue_water Posted October 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2012 It's a 40 - 45 min taxi, the resort is ok, if the pool was included it would be better as the beach there isn't fantastic. We just toured the BB property while visiting Iggie's Beach Bar for happy hours a couple evenings. The BB reviews aren't spectacular, and that's mainly because the rooms haven't been updated. Some folks like the Emerald Beach Resort in Lindbergh Bay which is much closer to your dock, have you looked at that? We prefer the East End beaches (Sapphire, Coki, and Secret Harbor in prder of our preference) but all of the beaches are nice and all rent lounges and have food & drink. The beach is ok, but nothing great. If you do the sunfish, etc, be wary of the currents. It's a nice protected bay, but if you get too far out, the current/winds catch you, and you have to pay for a rescue.
blue_water Posted October 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2012 That would be true of any bay - use common sense.
