St. kitts airport help

My son will be leaving the cruise early on Dec. 25 from St.Kitts. Does anyone know how far is the airport from the cruise port ? What the airport is like ? Is it easy to get to, go thru security, ect. How long before his takeoff should he be there ? If we are at a beach, can or should he leave for the airport there? Thanks.....

The airport is easy to get to and about a 10 min taxi ride from the port. You should be there at least 2 hrs before your flight. I have flown into & out of SKB many times on American, American Eagle & US Airways. .

Even the furthest beach (Cockleshell) from the airport is no more than 30 minutes away.

If you take a taxi to a beach, book your driver to pick you up for the run to the airport.

All the airlines say 2 hours before and this is loads more time than you need. American has self check in kiosks and bag drop now so lines at check in are usually short. Security is quick and easy.
