KTRuby Posted October 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2012 I was just reading another thread and it got me thinking......... I am booked on the Valor in December in a category 6K which are sold out. I am assuming because it isn't possible to book this category at this point that I would have no way to confirm if there has been a price drop. Any chance I'm mistaken? jdeville71 Posted October 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2012 you may still be able to get a price drop if a higher category than yours is ever priced lower I'm not sure but if that happens, its worth a try to submit for the reduction
firefly333 Posted October 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2012 If a higher category is price lower than yours, you almost always would have to MOVE to that category to price match to it.. i.e. give up your cabin. If its nothing special .. then it doesnt matter. Or your category could free up. My friend in a 9C was sold out forever, but one opened up 8 days before sailing. KTRuby Posted October 29, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted October 29, 2012 I will keep an eye on it. I thought the room looked even better than a balcony so it wouldn't be worth it to give it up unless it was a huge drop. Thanks for the info and suggestions!
