ciana Posted May 25, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 25, 2005 We're looking at booking here for 3 nights pre-cruise for AAA rate $159 for King partial bayview room. It appears to be on water at Seaport Village with trolley nearby. We don't have a car so will be relying on public transportation. Does anyone have comments, pros, cons to this hotel? Thanks Ciana
Kev and Tam Posted May 25, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 25, 2005 Ciana, We live in San Diego and I think you got a great rate! There is so much to do in Downtown San Diego now! The new ballpark is within walking distance, LOTS of restaurants, Seaport Village which is a seaside shopping center, and of course, the bay is right there! If you have any questions, just ask! You really don't need a car, but you could rent one for a day to take you to the San Diego Zoo or Sea World. Whatever you do, bring money! Nothing is cheap!:)
ciana Posted May 26, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted May 26, 2005 Kev & Tam. Thanks for the info. I thought it was a great rate and we like the location..so Manchester Hyatt it is. We did look at the Holiday Inn on the Bay as many CC's favour it. Best rate there was $135. We decide rightly or wrongly to opt for the Hyatt..our friends were able to get the seniors rate so their cost is $149..even better. Is there some form of transportation available to the zoo if we don't rent a car? Any particular restaurant you would recommend in the Hyatt area? Thanks Ciana:)
