Honeybubba1 Posted November 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 1, 2012 Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive local restaurant in Willemstad? What kind of food are they known for? Thanks.
cruisee<3 Posted November 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2012 I guess there's no good restaurant here :( how sad .. Maybe check tripadvisor? Got a lot of good ideas for the the other ports this way. Hope that helps
sail7seas Posted November 5, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 5, 2012 Good restaurants are not inexpensive in Curacao. For a fine dinner, you need to plan to spend a bit.
curacaoqueen Posted November 5, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 5, 2012 For really inexpensive food go to the Old Market, you'll find all kinds of local food, pumpkin pancakes, fish . Look at the menu at Iguanas.

momof4boys Posted November 9, 2012 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2012 We were there in July. Right outside the port area to the right (I believe) is an old fort. (Rif Fort Village) We walked to the top (fun steps....also a SLOW elevator is available) and there was a local bar/restaurant. It went all along the sea side of the fort. It was Anchore Water Front Bar and Seafood Restaurant. Our group of 13 (ages 19-56) ate and drank there! Awesome! The view was amazing and the environment fabulous!! The local owner was awesome! He was so friendly. Several of our group ate Shoarmas and it was fabulous!! Some of our group had chonch shoarmas and others had chicken! The drinks (regular yummy margaritas and caribbean drinks and local beers like Amstel Bright were fabulous. We met many locals and enjoyed the talks.
