Spoiled Suite Brats Posted November 6, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 6, 2012 I just booked a room for our last night in FLL and wondered if anyone has stayed here before and what your thoughts on it were? Does the casino allow smoking? I'm a little bummed that it doesn't seem to have a roulette table but glad to see it has BJ tables. Any advise is appreciated.:)
ragtiki2004 Posted November 6, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 6, 2012 Good morning. Yes the casino does allow smoking. Never stayed in one of the rooms but do know that you need to show your room key before they let you up into the elevator. Bob:)
miamiyogi Posted November 6, 2012 #3 Share Posted November 6, 2012 I've stayed there. The rooms are pretty ample, simple, but nice. They give you a rock CD you can play in your room (or they used to). The pool area is stellar, only guests can go to the pool area. The spa is also really nice, but a bit small. It has a fantastic area out back with shops and bars/dining options. They do have blackjack. But $5.00 minimums are hard to come by, its hard to get a seat at the $10.00 table and some nights the $25 tables are even filled up. I'm a big fan of the restaurant in the hotel (Council Oak), but it is UBER expensive.

royalcruz Posted November 6, 2012 #5 Share Posted November 6, 2012 The Hard Rock Casino is so full of smoke that I cannot go in there without my eyes and sinuses burning, so yes, they allow smoking.

Bob:) Bob tell me about it, the place is great, but not at those prices. I dropped about $400 there with drinks, wine, etc. I was impressing a girl, she's now my wife...hmmm..... let me think if it was worth it :p Yogi
ragtiki2004 Posted November 7, 2012 #7 Share Posted November 7, 2012 Yogi, that sounds like a great investment! How is the weather down there? We are actually getting our first snow of the year in CT! Really do not need this after last weeks hurricane. Bob:)
miamiyogi Posted November 8, 2012 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2012 Yogi, that sounds like a great investment! How is the weather down there? We are actually getting our first snow of the year in CT! Really do not need this after last weeks hurricane. Bob:) Hi Bob, having been through a few myself I hope you got through the storm okay. This time of year reminds me why I put up with the sweltering summers here. Had a cold snap, the weather at night is dropping into the high 50s, warming up to the low 80s. Not a cloud in the sky, just fantastic. After 10AM (for me anyway) you can take off the wind breaker and be out in shorts and a shirt and not break a sweat at all. rozen Posted November 9, 2012 #9 Share Posted November 9, 2012 What is the taxi cost from this hotel to POM?
ragtiki2004 Posted November 9, 2012 #10 Share Posted November 9, 2012 Most likely about $100. Look into a shuttle service such as Sas. Bob:)
