Does main seating mean 1st seating?

I had been assigned 2nd seating on our 6/18/04 Mercury cruise and had requested 1st. I see that I am now listed as "main" after being on the waiting list.

Main seating usually means 1st seating! 2nd seating is usually called late seating!

One little known fact is that at the "main" seating on lobster night you recieve a Maine Lobster...not so at the late seating. [img]http://messages.cruisecritic.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]
