Uniworld Cruise/Tour to China, Beijing to Shanghai in October, 2013

Can anyone please give me any information about this tour? We are hoping to take this 11 day tour and adding additional days by ourselves in either Hong Kong or Bangkok. We took a Uniworld tour a number of years ago from Prague to Budapest and enjoyed it. Thank you all. Mary

If you can avoid being on tour the first week of October, it would be a good choice. That first week are Chinese national days, and most of the country is on vacation, visiting the same sites that you will be seeing.

 

We traveled with Uniworld in China in October 2008 and were there during national days--had a great time but that first week was full of crowds. Uniworld does offer a trip that includes 2 days in Hong Kong and also time in Guilin (which gives you a chance for a half-day cruise on the Li River and its great scenery).:):)
