Pride of America Family Suites looking for info

We are thinking of doing a family cruise on Pride of America and were wondering if anyone has had experience with their family suites. They have a few different categories, with/without balcony, one or two bathrooms. We are looking at next December and also noticed that they are changing stateroom category names next September. Is there a planned refurbishment on this ship? We are a family of four will be traveling with two college age children. The suite did not seem much more expensive than two separate cabins. Does anyone have any specific stateroom recommendations?

The ship will be dry dock for two weeks in March and then work on the new suites will continue for several months while she sails. I can't speak to those suites as I haven't sailed her yet, hopefully someone can chime in and be more helpful!
