dandtgeddes Posted November 17, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 17, 2012 Gidday all. My son has asked what facilities are available in the gym on the Voyager of the Seas. Of special interest is whether there is cross training equipment such as step up gear, kettle bells, skipping ropes and medicine balls. Thanking you in advance for any information you have. mike@sea Posted November 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 17, 2012 Voyager´s gym is pretty well equipped for a cruise ship. Did not see kettle bells but everything else you mentioned is avialable. Definitely good enough for a 7-14 night cruise !! Enjoy!
dandtgeddes Posted November 18, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Is there plenty of room? I was just wondering as my DS's cross training coach has him doing sets and he has to do a combination of exercises for each set, 11, 9, 5 etc. My only requirement is the treadmill and there seem to be plenty of those. On the search function when I was looking into the gym situation someone said you are not allowed to fill water bottles in the gym. Feedback anyone? Thanking you in anticipation. TraceyG On a recent cruise on Jewel in August, did this exact thing daily. No signage to the contrary, and was never corrected by staff. Hope this helps. tnt10
dandtgeddes Posted November 18, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted November 18, 2012 Yes, that helps, I will pack his water bottle. I know I need to rehydrate during my walks on the treadmill. Were there specific times when the gym is open? I ask this as I can sometimes start my workout at 5am. Thanks again. TraceyG
