Cab vs Private Van/Sedan/Shuttle MIA to Port Everglades

I've done most of my research on my own and have found that there is a flat rate of 76.90 from MIA to Port everglades.

 

Shuttles run between $65 to $140 depending on the company. We are staying at Hilton Marina Ft. Lauderdale the night before so we won't be rushed and out flight out on Sunday back home is after 4:00, again so we won't be rushed.

 

It seems like the simplest thing would be to take a Taxi Mini van to hold the 4 of us and our luggage. Has anyone ever done this for 4.

 

With 4 people a shared van is as expensive as a private van, so really now just deciding between private shuttle and taxi. If we really limit our luggage a town car sedan might also work.

 

How big a hassle is it to find a mini van taxi?
