Do You Use Your Phone or a Video Camera for Videos?

I have never used my phone for videos so I don't really know what it's capabilities are. I am thinking of buying a not too expensive video camera to use for a family reunion in Belize. I want to tape some conversations etc.

I will no doubt now take the video camera on the Breeze in March. Any tips, which would you use for short shots of scenery, ports etc. ?

I use my point and shoot digital camera for short video clips.

No need to switch cameras between photos and video.

Yes, the small, compact digital camera has replaced the large, bulkie video (tape) camera and put it with the 8 Tracks and Sony BetaMax's of our past.

 

You can get a new small P&S camera for around $100 with HD video capabilties - and it will fit in your purse or jacket pocket!

Thanks to advances in technology, all of my cameras shoot HD video. I very (very) seldom shoot video but when I do, I just switch from still to video on whatever camera I'm using.
