Wine Bottle Size

My husband and I each brought 2 750ml bottles on the Magic. They didn't say anything. We weren't right next to each other in line and they prbly assumed we were bringing for our spouse. They also didn't charge us the corkage in the MDR. It's a roll of the dice and randomly they care and randomly they don't. But the big bottle tips them off

Not person but per couple. Just bring a pocket calculator for the math challenged port security agent.

does not matter whether they are an Einstein or not - it is 750 per person - they will take a 1500 from you as Einstein you are not. Don't push it you will lose everytime

Which is why I posted per couple because per person is not allowed.

You assume the OP is part of a couple

They specifically asked per person.

Even if you are a "couple" there is no real reason for the larger bottle, you are just setting yourself up for a headache IMHO

On embarkation day, each guest may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board and only in their carry-on luggage. A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less.

Summary

· maximum of 12 sealed, unopened bottles and/or cans, 20 ounces each or less, per guest

· Non-Alcoholic Beer not permitted

Wine/Champagne

· one bottle, 750 milliliters or less, per guest 21 years and older

· one box of wine, 1.5 liters or less, will be permitted, if shared among 2 guests 21 years or older

Not to mention...the OP asked PER PERSON

THE OP DID NOT SAY me and my wife/girlfriend/boyfriend/husband/mother/dad/sister/ whatever....why would you assume this??

following some of this "advice" may mean a headache at the port JMO

as for the Magic...maybe some got by with 2 bottles wine, or maybe that Port is more lenient

I personally have found Port Everglades to be more strict than POM. Everglades seems to go thru the luggage/shake water bottles etc more

Even IF you are a couple, why not just carry on 2 bottles 750 ml?? Just go thru the check in together and one could carry both bottles, just put it down for the other

If you "hedge" your bets and take this "advice" you might find your big bottle going to the naughty room. I personally think all the wine/booze policies are too strict and I don't work for Carnival...however, I cruise a lot and I have seen/talked to people who "lost' their booze at the Port.

750 ml bottle goes right thru, one per person, over 21
