Is it true that you have to buy an arm band when you arrive at Paradise Beach?

We were there last year and didn't have to pay extra for a chair, or the beach toys. We definitely bought our fair share of drinks and food etc. By the way, I loved the hammocks! Also wondering if it's getting more crowded compared to a year ago. Thanks

The $5 arm band is optional and covers unlimited use of the floaty mats, water trampoline, iceberg, kayaks (identification must be left in exchange), and snorkel equipment (refundable deposit required). If you just want hammocks, chairs and umbrellas, they are all still free of charge.

Enjoy!

When Paradise Beach first opened, and for many months after that, there was no charge for anything. The only income was derived from sales of food and beverage. Unfortunately too many people used the free facilities without purchasing anything and ruined it for everyone else. The choice was to charge an entry fee to everyone or to sell armbands to those who wish to use the water toys. It's a modest fee and you don't have to pay if you just want to use the chairs and umbrellas.
