First time booking without a TA - what insurance do I need?

We've been on 3 cruises and this our first outing without a travel agent making arrangements. (AAA in each case before FWIW) We got insurance each time but I'm not sure what was and what wasn't covered. I remember the last time we booked our own flights and the TA wanted to know how much that was so I assume I need to cover my cruise + flight costs?

From http://www.insuremytrip.com/

Trip Cost is used to calculate the amount of your Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage. It also is used to determine plan cost.

Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage reimburses you should your trip be cancelled or interrupted for a covered reason. You should insure the full amount of your prepaid and non-refundable travel arrangements. Non-prepaid and refundable items are not covered.

You might also want to add hotel costs if prepaid and non-refundable.
