SunDapple Posted November 30, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2012 Will be sailing on Marina next Fall and wonder if on their shore excursions they offer the "Whisper" headsets? Is anyone be able to answer this question? We did a river cruise with Avalon this past summer and the ship offered headsets for the morning walking tours. We picked them up before disembarking and returned them when we re-boarded. They were wonderful, allowed quite a bit of freedom from the mass, and one could always hear what was being said. I realize that Marina has ten times more passengers to deal with, but not everyone goes on the same shore excursions, so the group would most likely be one bus load of approximately 30-50 people. IMHO, headsets are do-able with these numbers. They could also be offered by the tour company, picked up on the bus and returned on the ride back to the ship. (This would be beyond O's control, but if they contracted with tour companies that used them, not entirely beyond O's scope.)
