Suggestions for a beach day with this many people in port? Not a typical day, but Nassau can handle the crowds. Suggest a day at blue lagoon, http://www.bahamasbluelagoon.com/ or maybe a private tour with basil (www.blueholewatersports.com Hard to get away from the crowds without leaving the area. excited1sttimer Posted December 6, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted December 6, 2012 Scubagirl, we are there from 7am to 2pm. Is this enough time to do Blue Lagoon? Does it open that early? The tours with Basil look great, but we have more than 4 in our party. My dad would love the fishing! If not Blue Lagoon what would you recommend for that early in the day? Thanks so much for what you do for us! The travel and tourism folks in the Bahamas should pay you!

Basil may still be a good bet.. since the snorkel boat holds up to 8.. ask about snorkeling from the beach.. then some of you can have a beach day and others snorkel. Doesn't hurt to ask.. tell them I sent you. Otherwise, the sheraton day pass might work.. or just a day at Junkanoo beach.. the free beach near the dock.. will be crowded with cruisers.. but you can spread out. amandarp13 Posted December 12, 2012 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2012 Do you mind if I ask how you figured out how many ships/passengers would be docked that day? Unfortunately I will be going for the first time myself, so I have no advice for you. Good luck! :)
