Mayan ruins on spring equinox?

We'll be in Belize on March 20, 2013 which is the spring equinox. We were thinking of going to a Mayan site the following day in Costa Maya, but I am wondering if anything special goes on at any of the Belize sites (Altun Ha or Lamanai) for the spring equinox? Any recommendations? If we do Lamanai I would definitely book through the cruiseline (NCL) as I've read it's a very long day and you risk missing the ship otherwise.

Yes, looks like we're on the same cruise! I decided to go cave tubing in Belize after all, and will go to the ruins in Costa Maya.

I may do the ruins at Belize since we'll be there on the day of the Spring Equinox. Supposed to be a big celebration that day.
