rvsullivan Posted December 22, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 22, 2012 $400-600 in cash in a secluded place at 4 am is a recipe for disaster anyplace. I have never felt unsafe in NO, but do not roam this area's in the mid am. Be aware.
Human Speedbump Posted December 29, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 29, 2012 New Orleans is like any other big city, it has crime, they all do. Rampart is a good bit away from the cruise terminals, and at that time of morning?!? I do business in NOLA and stay in the city at least 2 nights a month. I would suggest staying closer to the river in the downtown, Convention Center area, or even in the French Quarter. Rampart is at the fringe of the French Quarter.
