anybody know how to prepay on board credit?

I have cruise that is being paid for through work for a sales compitition I have won and they are giving $400 obc. We were gonna try to just overpay the cruise by 400 but I wasnt sure that was the right way to go about it.

Why dont you give Carnival a call? You can apply OBC by calling the bon voyage department. You could also buy a Carnival gift card that can be used for anything...like tips, excursions etc....

Applying OBC through Bon Voyage is no longer an option.

Just have them mail the gift cards not use the e-cards as there have been reports that the ships are not up to speed on how to apply e-cards yet, LOL

So what happends if you just over pay the cruise?? That wont just go to your obc? that would be the most convenient way to do this.

We just prepaid our gratuities for our Dream cruise. Just a quick phone call to Carnival is all it took, so I'm sure they can help you too ......

well the company wanted to make the payment all at once with the over payment on the same card at the same time as this card gives them perks when they make big purchases but if they have to split the purchases up it wont give them whatever perk it is. So thats why they want to just over pay instead of splitting up the purchase.

They could simply purchase the gifts cards with the total they are paying then you make the booking w/ gift cards and the remaining gc balance would be your obc. The obc would have to be applied on board the ship.

Any over payment they make would get credited back to their credit card.
